Hospitality Coordinators
In connection with our purpose statements, it is necessary to appoint a position that will coordinate the classes efforts in generating the sense of community we hope to share amongst our members. Random acts of kindness are not good enough to ensure that our body will become and remain a true “refuge” for people. An intentional effort to welcome and assimilate people into the group is needed in order to grow this group, in both numbers and (more importantly) spiritual and relational maturity. Specific responsibilities for this position include:
- Coordinating a Greeting Team who will welcome people and help them find seats throughout our class-times and then greet them again as we leave the class.
- Tracking visitors to our class, being sure to gather basic contact information for follow up. Visitors should also be tracked in our official attendance records as well.
- Coordinating efforts to follow up with visitors via cards and/or phone calls.
- Coordinating efforts to follow up with those who are missing during class-time as a way of keeping people connected to the group and caring for one another.
- Coordinating efforts to send cards for birthdays and anniversaries.
- Coordinating efforts to help as a class during unique or special circumstances or occasions (ex. baby showers and births, bereavement for loss of loved ones, care during hospitalization, etc.).
- Creating and distributing a prayer request and praises list each week.
- Connecting with leaders of First Impressions ministry for the purpose of helping with special services/events (ex. Easter and Christmas services, etc.).
